本課程每堂50分鐘，一週兩次，於2008年秋季錄製並收入耶魯大學開放式課程系列。

 

Requirements

Course requirements consist of: three tests (10%, 15%, 20%); approximately thirty listening exercises (25%); regular attendance and class participation (5%); one review of Berkeley Chamber Orchestra (10%); one five-page paper involving 1) Walt Disney's Fantasia or 2) Andrew Lloyd-Webber's Phantom of the Opera (15%).

Professor Craig Wright

Craig Wright擁有伊士曼音樂學院音樂學士學位，主修鋼琴和音樂史（1966）；並獲得哈佛大學音樂學博士學位（1972），自1973年開始任教於耶魯大學，目前是Henry L. and Lucy G. Moses音樂教授。在耶魯大學，Wright指導的課程包括歷年來廣受歡迎的入門課程「聆聽音樂」，及選修討論課程「探索天才的本質」。每年夏季，他都帶領數個耶魯校友團前往法國、德國和義大利。他的六本著作包括《音樂與巴黎聖母院盛典》（1989），《西方文明中的音樂》（2005），《聆聽音樂》（第6版，201
