歐洲歷史上的「文藝復興」以為社會、政治、文化對一次知識趨勢的一系列回應被大眾所了解，這個趨向始於十四世紀，地點在義大利。這個知識趨勢被認為是人文主義，或者人文主義研究，它是幾乎三百年裡，文學、藝術、科學、宗教、政治的發展核心。本課程中，我們著重研究這種人文主義歷史，但還會探討宗教改革，高層政治，農民的世界，以及這一時期歐洲的向外征服和擴張。

歐洲歷史上的「文藝復興」以為社會、政治、文化對一次知識趨勢的一系列回應被大眾所了解，這個趨向始於十四世紀，地點在義大利。這個知識趨勢被認為是人文主義，或者人文主義研究，它幾乎是三百年裡，文學、藝術、科學、宗教、政治的發展核心。本課程中，我們著重研究這種人文主義歷史，但還會探討宗教改革，高層政治，農民的世界，以及這一時期歐洲的向外征服和擴張。
課程要求
每個人都應該來上課和參與課堂討論，期末的時候還會有個期末測驗。除此之外還有一個地圖小測試、六篇2頁紙的論文，第25節課的時候交一篇8-10頁紙的論文。在以後的課程中，我會把這些作業的指引方針分發給大家。儘管在計算期末成績時會考慮學生在學期中改善的表現，但每次作業在期末總成績的計算中還是占如下比重︰
