這門課的教科書是用Olivier Blanchard所寫的總體經濟學第三版(譯註：本書有中文版：謝振環、江靜儀、林慧菁、陳正亮合譯，總體經濟學第二版，台北：東華書局，民國90年5月。新月圖書公司代理)。以下是課堂裏所包含的主題清單。同時還有2個推薦的課外閱讀。
最後，還是建議學生們要養成習慣瀏覽華爾街日報或金融時報，或經濟學人週刊，至少每月要看幾次；這些日報與週刊對於重大經濟事件都有相當棒的報導，而且對於課程中也會提供一些相關背景介紹。
The text for the course is the third edition of Macroeconomics, by Olivier Blanchard. Below is the list of topics covered in class. There are also two additional readings recommended.
Finally, it is also suggested that students get into the habit of browsing the daily newspaper The Wall Street Journal or The Financial Times, or the weekly magazine The Economist at least a couple of times a month; all offer good (and well-written) coverage of economic events, and will provide some context for the course.
