作業時程
Assignment Schedule

學生每週會被指定一套問題集作業.。每一週的作業通常都是週一指定，然後於次週二完成繳交（8天後）。每一堂課一個作業。週一所指定之問題作業範圍將涵蓋上週五至次週四之授課內容。舉例而言，第二週星期一所指定之問題作業2，必須於第三週星期二完成繳交。作業之範圍包括第一週星期五到第二週星期四之間每一節課。作業指定與繳交之重要日子分別列於行事曆。

Students are assigned one problem set per week. Each week's assignment is made available on Monday, and is due on Tuesday of the following week (8 days later). One problem is assigned for each lecture. Problems included in Monday's assignment cover lectures from the previous Friday through the following Thursday. For example, Problem Set 2 is available on Monday of Week 2, due on Tuesday of Week 3, and includes one problem for each lecture between Friday of Week 1 and Thursday of Week 2. Assignment key dates are listed in the calendar.

相關題解將於作業繳交日之後隨即公布。同時作業之成績通常於2-3天內完成交還學生。這樣的安排讓學生能夠參考學校之題解與個人作業之成績準備考試。

Problem set solutions are posted promptly after the due date, and graded problems are typically returned to students within 2-3 days. This schedule allows students to study for exams using both school solutions and their own graded papers.

Students in Unified Engineering are expected to present thorough solutions to these problems. While a numerical answer is often required, a satisfactory solution must also describe the intermediate steps taken to reach it. Grading information and a sample solution are linked below.

作業時間之分配
Time Spent on Assignments

每一作業完成說明之封面，或是稱做「時間分配頁」於作業繳交同時完成。授課教授必須蒐集學生完成業以及準備小考所花的時間。當學生的學習成效與授課者之期望平均偏異擴大，教學者能夠適時於學期中間進行修正，重新平衡學生學習的負荷。

The cover sheet for each assignment, or "Time Spent Sheet" is due along with the problem set solutions. The course staff monitor the time students spend completing their assignments and preparing for quizzes. When the student average diverges significantly from the instructors' expectations, the faculty are able to make mid-term corrections to rebalance the students' workload.

The table below contains the weekly assignments for both the Fall 2003 and Spring 2004 semesters. They are provided below in two formats: (1) original format (all discipline problems covered in a single problem set) (2) discipline-specific format (each problem is broken out into a separate file based on its discipline). The abbreviations used in problem numbering correspond to the discipline abbreviations found in the syllabus.
