課程描述

呈現在設計與處理流行病學研究時所涵蓋的方法學邏輯問題學生。將準備研究提案，以此研究人類議題。這個課程也將提供學生機會，以批判性的方式評斷眾多研究計畫的適當性與科學價值，並且對於執行人類相關研究，發展正確評估道德問題的方法，並能運用先前(340.601 - 603)和目前所學的方法與原理於特定的流行病問題上。

Presents the methodologic and logistic problems involved in designing and conducting epidemiologic studies. Students participate in the preparation of a research protocol for a study in a human population. Offers an opportunity to critically evaluate the adequacy and scientific merit of research protocols, develop an appreciation of the ethical aspects of conducting research involving human subjects, and apply methods and principles learned in earlier (340.601 - 603) and current courses to specific epidemiologic problems.

課程宗旨

了解在設計與處理流行病學研究時所涵蓋的方法學邏輯問題。學生將運用美國國家衛生研究院所開發的PHS Form 398準備研究提案 ，以此研究人類議題。以批判性的方式評斷眾多研究計畫的適當性與科學價值，並且對於執行人類相關研究，發展正確評估道德問題的方法。

Understand the methodologic and logistic problems involved in designing and conducting epidemiologic studies. Prepare a research protocol for study in a human population using the PHS form 398 developed by The National Institutes of Health. Critically evaluate the adequacy and scientific merit of research protocols, Develop an appreciation of the ethical aspects of conducting research involving humans.
