课程描述
矩阵理论及线性代数的入门课程。本课程内容着重于联立方程组、向量空间、行列式、特征值、相似性及正定矩阵等具高度可应用性专题的基本训练及其在最小平方逼进法、微分方程组的稳定性、网络、傅立叶转换及马可夫历程的应用。本课程以Matlab作为辅助工具。较之课程18.700[亦为线性代数],本堂课更注重于矩阵算法及其若干应用。

Basic subject on matrix theory and linear algebra, emphasizing topics useful in other disciplines, including systems of equations, vector spaces, determinants, eigenvalues, similarity, and positive definite matrices. Applications to least-squares approximations, stability of differential equations, networks, Fourier transforms, and Markov processes. Uses MATLAB®. Compared with 18.700 [also Linear Algebra], more emphasis on matrix algorithms and many applications.
