课程描述
本课程为麻省理工学院之开放式课程。互动式讨论之范围广泛，其设计精神在于帮助研究所入学生理解特定论文之脉络，从批判角度研读经验性作品，并果断地判定一论述是否具说服力。因此，本课程之目标除在于教授经济学历史，亦使学生尝试研究应用经济学。
This subject is taught at MIT in an open format. The interactive discussion ranges widely and is designed to help entering graduate students understand the context of the specific papers, read empirical work critically, and make up their minds whether an argument is convincing. The aims of the subject therefore are both to inform students about economic history and to give them a taste of applied economic research.
